“I have been a supporter of Shooting Star Chase Children’s’ Hospice since I was invited to become a Trustee in 2004 and appreciate the vital role it plays in improving the quality of life for life-limited children and for their families, with very little support from government sources. It was a privilege to witness the loving care and tender affection shown by all the staff and the appreciation of the children, their parents and their siblings. As Treasurer, I was well aware of the very important role that TCL plays in providing a consistent dependable source of income for both Shooting Star  Chase and Phyllis Tuckwell hospices, particularly at times when other fundraising has been so challenging. After my retirement in 2012, I decided to maintain my contact and support through becoming a regular direct debit player of the Tuckwell Chase Lottery. The work of both  hospices is vital for the support of the children’s families and for terminally ill patients and their families. Playing the TCLottery brings occasional very nice surprises as well the satisfaction of supporting such great local charities.

The very welcome prize I received recently enabled me to make an additional donation to Shooting Star Chase and to support other charities, as well as giving my grandchildren an extra Christmas bonus!”
