Shooting Star Children’s Hospices latest Youth Connect weekend at Christopher’s was a joyful celebration, bringing together a group of inspiring young people for two days of fun, laughter and connection with peers.
The weekend kicked off with our young people personalising their space – creating colourful bunting and signs. They were given Instax cameras to capture their favourite moments and headed out shopping for the afternoon.
In the evening, the group had a special visit from gold-medal winning Paralympic cyclist, Lizzi Jordan MBE. Lizzi shared her incredible journey, from losing her sight to becoming a champion cyclist, and brought along her gold medal, which captivated everyone (especially Summer, who was reluctant to give it back!)
A great time was had by all, and a huge thank you to Lizzi for visiting.
