New Look offers 20% discount to Phyllis Tuckwell supporters
10 September 2019
Phyllis Tuckwell is teaming up with fashion retailer New Look this summer to offer Fleet shoppers an extra big thank you for helping the charity.
New Look is launching a new customer discount initiative to support hospice care by encouraging more people to donate goods to local hospice shops, and Phyllis Tuckwell’s shop in Fleet is one of those chosen to pilot the scheme between 21st July-14th September.
The high street store will be offering a 20% discount voucher to anyone who drops in a full bag of donations at the Phyllis Tuckwell shop on 279 Fleet Road, Fleet. Under the scheme, running in partnership with national charity Hospice UK, donors will receive a voucher which they will be able to spend at New Look’s store in Fleet, which is only a short walk from the Phyllis Tuckwell shop.
“We are really excited to announce this fantastic offer to our supporters, and would like to thank New Look for supporting local hospice care so generously,” said Barry Young, Retail Operations Manager at Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice Care.
“New Look is very excited about this new partnership with Hospice UK to encourage our customers to donate their once loved clothes to their local hospice shop. As a company, we’re really keen to develop stronger links on our local high streets. We have a three-year commitment to fundraise for the amazing work of hospices around the UK and this new initiative helps us to take this to the next level, building stronger relationships in local communities and doing what we can to reduce the amount of clothing waste that ends up in landfill,” said Mark Axon, Retail Director, New Look.
Every item bought in one of Phyllis Tuckwell’s shops will help the charity to provide supportive and end of life care for local people who are living with an advanced or terminal illness, such as cancer. As the NHS/Government only covers 20% of its costs, Phyllis Tuckwell has to raise over £20,000 a day to be able to offer all of its services, which are given free of charge to its patients and their families.
Phyllis Tuckwell’s shops sell clothing, accessories and jewellery, household items and bric-a-brac, books, CDs, DVDs, toys and games.
