Running Santas Support Phyllis!

Chilly evenings and falling leaves can only mean one thing – Christmas is on its way! This year, Phyllis Tuckwell’s annual Santa Fun Runs are going virtual, so you can complete your festive run wherever you like!

“Because of Coronavirus, we’ve had to cancel many of our Fundraising events this year, which has had a huge impact on our fundraising income,” says Leanne Magee, Events Fundraiser at Phyllis Tuckwell. “We’re thrilled that our Santa Fun Runs will be going ahead, and excited at hearing about where our fantastic supporters have chosen to run theirs!”

Phyllis Tuckwell is asking supporters to complete their run on the weekend of 12^th and 13^th December, either on their own or in bubbles of up to six.

Entry is free, and all those who raise the minimum sponsorship of £25 will be sent a bespoke Santa Fun Run medal!

But don’t stop at £25 – those who raise £100 will be sent a Phyllis Tuckwell t-shirt, and anyone raising £500 or over will get a special Santa Fun Run hoody!

All of the money raised will help fund the medical and nursing care, therapies, counselling, social work advice and practical support that Phyllis Tuckwell provides for local patients and families who are living with an advanced or terminal illness, such as cancer. All of its services are given free of charge, but it has to raise over £20,000 a day to do this, which is why events such as these Santa Fun Runs are so important.
