Special opportunities for ‘Just Juniors’

Just juniors buckled up and prepared for blast-off in their rocket on a multisensory exploration of the solar system with a fully immersive space experience.

These Just Junior events are exclusive to 7-11 years old children, so that they are of similar age and understanding. Shooting Star Children’s Hospices welcomed the juniors to Shooting Star House to enjoy a fun filled day with different activities and tonnes of different people at each event. It is a great opportunity for children to learn, explore their senses and offers parents a break during the week.

Everyone came together for the day and for some activities they broke into smaller groups to explore space using lights, sounds and other exciting materials. By breaking into smaller groups, the juniors socialised easily, engaged in every activity they were comfortable with to the fullest, and most importantly had some time to enjoy doing something different that week.

Eight supported children attended, with one Nurse, one Health Care Assistant and two Family Support Workers at this event at Shooting Star House.
