Some supported children who have been at the hospice for respite care have been getting into the Halloween spirit recently with some fab-boo-lously fun and sensory activities.

The goresome care team have donned their thinking caps (or should that be witches hats!) to create lots of hair-raising activities for the children to get involved in. From monstrous makes, boo-tiful bakes and plenty of treats of course.

The children we support have a wide range of complex conditions, so our care team ensured that every activity is fun and sensory so everyone can take part and enjoy themselves, whilst creating special keepsakes and memories.

There was some pumpkin decorating, with some incredible creations – a Peppa Pig inspired ‘Pigkin’ and channelling the dark side – a Star Wars inspired Darth Vader pumpkin.

Using fiendish feet and haunting hands some spellbinding Halloween art has been created, and the hospice has been transformed into a super spooky space using the children’s creations of paper pumpkin lanterns, moving eye mummies and paper plate cats.

The ghoulish creations continue this week which will include Frankenstein faces, paper cup ghosts and snake mobiles!

Halloween isn’t complete without some scary snacks and terrifying treats, with the children busy making chocolate bark and creating cookie dentures – perfect to get your teeth into!
