This year’s Samfest promises to be a fabulous day out for all the family, with music, a fun fair and a festival market – all raising money for local charities including Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice Care.

Held on Saturday 22nd June from 11am to 10.30pm, at Tongham Recreation Ground on Poyle Road, this one-day music festival brings together people of all ages to celebrate music and life. Performing on this year’s main stage will be Queen tribute band Rock Q and the South Coast’s premier Oasis tribute band Maybe Oasis. Ska Dogs will also be belting out classics by the likes of Madness, The Specials and Bad Manners, while The Frets will be covering everything from classic rock to disco and funk. The Chilli Fighters will be fusing the music of the Foo Fighters with the Red Hot Chilli Peppers, and The Dolomites will capture the authentic rock ’n’ roll sound of the 50’s and 60’s.

In 2017, Samfest raised £16,000 for Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice Care. Advanced tickets are now on sale priced £15 for adults, £10 for youths aged 8-17yrs, and £40 for a family ticket (two adults and two youths). Children aged under 8yrs can enter for free. Please note, a £1 booking fee applies. 100% of the profits will be split between several local charities, with Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice Care receiving 70% of profits and the remaining 30% being split between other local charities and community groups based in Tongham.
