The Board of Trustees of Shooting Star Children’s Hospices are delighted to welcome Paul Farthing as its new Chief Executive.
Paul brings over 25 years of extensive leadership experience in both the charity and commercial sectors. He was Managing Director at a charity-specialist marketing communications agency, became High Value Relationships Director at Cancer Research UK and then Director of Fundraising at both Age UK and NSPCC. Paul joins Shooting Star Children’s Hospices from The Children’s Trust where he was Director of Income Generation and Communications.
Andrew Coppel, Chair of the Board of Trustees said, “The board is delighted that Paul is joining Shooting Star Children’s Hospices. He has a wealth of experience and knowledge of the sector and we are looking forward to working with him to help shape the charity’s future and continue to provide the vital care services to the families we support.”
Commenting on his appointment Paul Farthing said, “It is a tremendous honour to be taking over as Chief Executive at such an exciting time. The charity has an excellent reputation for the quality of the support we provide to children and their families. Our opportunity now, is to reach out and help more children and families through very challenging times. I look forward to working with the great team of staff, volunteers and supporters to make that happen.”
